Harbor Shelter Gaffey Street January StatsHarbor City, CA – Jeff Yablonovitz, owner of Canine Retreat dog daycare and dog boarding, was asked by the Harbor City Neighborhood Council to deliver baskets of donated blankets, towels, food, toys and other goodies to the Harbor Shelter Gaffey Street.

The Harbor City Neighborhood Council is a board of 13 elected members whose stated mission is to improve the quality of life for all in Harbor City by creating and fostering a safe, healthy, orderly and clean environment that welcomes ethnic and cultural diversity and promotes a community spirit of inclusion, cooperation, participation and collaboration.

Canine Retreat’s doggy daycare and dog boarding facility delivered the items to the homeless dogs waiting for forever homes at the Harbor Shelter.  The shelter was grateful and Canine Retreat was proud to help.

The photo above shows stats of the Harbor Shelter Gaffey Street as it relates to their adoption rates. The Harbor Shelter Gaffey Street is an excellent facility where one can find dogs of all shapes and sizes, temperaments and breeds. There are puppies that would make the best family pets as well as older dogs that have experienced a tough life and could use a little TLC. This is an exemplary facility among animal shelters that keep the dogs in clean and spacious kennels while waiting for their forever home. Visitors can stop in anytime to tour the facility and see all the great adoptable dogs.

“Saving one animal may not change the world, but surely for that one animal the world will change forever.”
