Canine Retreat delivers goodies to Harbor Shelter 2 Comments

Harbor Shelter Gaffey Street with Canine Retreat Dog Daycare and Dog Boarding OwnerHarbor City, CA – Jeff and Michael from Canine Retreat dog daycare and dog boarding visited the Harbor Shelter Gaffey Street to deliver baskets of food, toys and other goodies. Canine Retreat’s doggy daycare and dog boarding client’s donated the items to the homeless dogs waiting for forever homes at the Harbor Shelter. The photo on the left shows Jeff Yablonovitz, owner of Canine Retreat, meeting with Harbor Shelter Supervisor, Gerard Hill. The shelter was grateful for the donations and Canine Retreat was proud to help during the holiday season.

The Harbor Shelter Gaffey Street is an excellent facility where one can find dogs of all shapes and sizes, temperaments and breeds. There are puppies that would make the best family pets as well as older dogs that have experienced a tough life and could use a little TLC. This is an exemplary facility among animal shelters that keep the dogs in clean and spacious kennels while waiting for their forever home. Visitors can stop in anytime to tour the facility and see all the great adoptable dogs.

“Saving one animal may not change the world, but surely for that one animal the world will change forever.”

Thank you Jeff, on behalf of the volunteers at Harbor Shelter! A simple treat, toy or clean blanket is so valuable to our animals who have nothing but a bare cage to face day after day. With over 200 animals, these items disappear fast. When volunteers have the time, we video dogs and network them on Facebook. Check out ARF San Pedro or Save a Life (Harbor Dogs).

PS – my dog loves her regular visits to Canine Retreat. We are so happy you moved into the neighborhood!

    • You’re welcome! And thank you! We realize how extremely difficult the job is that you guys do and the desperate need to get these poor animals adopted. The sheer number of adoptable pets that are destroyed at the shelter every year is unbelievable. It is our pleasure to help and hopefully we can call attention to the great job you guys do and the beautiful animals that make perfect pets which are available for adoption at the shelter. We will make sure to post the links above on our Facebook page to help get the word out.
